The Midwife

I’m blessed to have had five children, four sons and a daughter. My last two were born at home, one on land and one in water. My third birth was one of the most traumatic experiences of my life and I swore that I would never give birth in the hospital again. Little did I know then that God had other plans for my life altogether. Over the next several months I found myself looking into home birth. It opened my eyes to the fact that pregnancy and birth are a normal, natural process, and not an illness that needs to be managed in a hospital. I realized that all women should have the option of a midwife and there wasn’t many of them in 1999. I knew in that moment that I was being called to serve women as a midwife and so began my journey.

I spent the next 3 years training to become a midwife in an apprenticeship with a CPM (Certified Professional Midwife). I have been a Primary Midwife for over 22 years and have delivered over 450 babies including 7 sets of twins, 16 breech births and 87 VBAC’s. I am a CPM (Certified Professional Midwife) from the North American Registry of Midwifes (NARM) and LM (Licensed Midwife) from the state of Texas.

I believe that every woman has the right to a safe, respectful, and empowering birth experience. I am committed to providing personalized care that is tailored to each individual's needs and preferences, and I work collaboratively with my clients to create a birth plan that aligns with their values and goals.

I have dedicated my life to empowering women throughout pregnancy, labor, birth and the postpartum period. Allowing women to be in control of the care they receive and their ability to make decisions based on facts not fear.
