I am a wife and a mother to 4 amazing children and am the Family Ministries Director at our church. Supporting families through pregnancy, birth, and lactation is my passion in life. My interest began when I was pregnant with my oldest son 23 years ago. While pregnant I read everything I could find about pregnancy and lactation. My first son was born naturally in a hospital. On paper, the birth was a success; but I found that his hospital birth lacked the supportive, compassionate, nurturing care I was expecting. When I became pregnant with my second son I looked elsewhere for care and discovered midwifery care. My next experiences with a birthing center and homebirth awoke in me a desire to help other mothers through their pregnancy, postpartum, and breastfeeding years. I began my journey as a La Leche League Leader almost 16 years ago and volunteered with LLL for many years. I have been an IBCLC for 12 years, a birth doula for almost 8 years, and a student midwife for 3-4 years. I would love to support your family through your pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding journey.

My admiration for birth began in 2015 when I saw my niece enter this world. That was the first time I witnessed the miracle of birth and it was a truly amazing experience to be the support person for my own sister during such a special time. A year later, my obstetrician coerced me into being induced (she was going on vacation the following week) and consequently forced me into a c-section a few hours later due to “failure to progress.” With my second pregnancy, my birthing experience was even worse. The doctor on call at the hospital immediately decided I would not be allowed to try for a VBAC and would have a repeat c-section without even seeing me first. My birthing plan was thrown out the window both times and I felt as though I had nobody to stand up for me while I was so vulnerable. After those two traumatizing births, I made the decision to switch careers and become a midwife. I'm currently working as a birth doula while I continue my training to become a midwife. I know that birth can be a beautiful experience and want to help other women avoid horror birthing stories, like mine. I want to help you and your family have the amazing birth you deserve.
My name is Marisol Rosales. I am a wife and mother to four beautiful children- two boys and two girls. When I was a freshman in college, I found out I was pregnant with my first child. I had no clue what to do or where to go. Fortunately, I am a very resourceful person so I found prenatal care at Davis Community Clinic. At the clinic, midwives were delivering the prenatal care. I didn’t even know what a midwife was, but as soon as my first appointment I fell in love with the care that she provided. She educated me in the process and I know there is no other way to receive care than the midwifery model of care! The intimate and personal care she provided left me in awe. Ever since then, I have been fascinated with pregnancy. I became a Doula, Childbirth Educator and Midwife Assistant. I have been serving my community on and off for 14 years as I grow my own family. When speaking to my mom about my passion for helping women and families she told me my great grandmother was a partera in Mexico. From that day, I know I am ancestrally called to do this work. Soon after the birth of my first child, I became pregnant with my first daughter and unfortunately I was not able to give birth in the Birthing Center because I moved back down to Los Angeles. I gave birth in a hospital and the experience was subpar compared with my birth center birth. Since then, I graduated with my bachelor’s in Psychology and two kids in my arms. Today I have had two hospital births and two birth center births. My husband and I are planning one more birth and I want to have a home birth. Recently we became homeowners here in Alamo, Texas and I hope to give birth to my baby at home. I am eager to serve you during your birth!
I’d love to talk with you about how I can help you have an amazing birth here in the RGV. I offer several different birth doula services. Contact me for a free consultation!

My husband and I had the unique privilege of being assisted into the world by the same midwife. When it came time to start our own family we were naturally drawn to the midwifery model of care. I'm now the proud mother of 2 waterbabies. Helping women find what is best for them when it comes to birth has been my calling ever since. I am currently completing my Birth Doula (CBD) and Childbirth Educator (CBE) certifications through Birth Arts International.

I was born in Galveston Texas, the youngest of 6 children. We moved to Edinburg Texas when I was 8 years old. At an early age I saw myself becoming a Veterinarian. As I grew up, I later wanted to practice Family Medicine. As life would have it , I would do neither. I took a course as a nursing assistant at a technical institute right after high school. I then enrolled into college with a major in Pre-Med. I married at 21, became a mother at the age of 22 to our son and then later at age 28 to our daughter. Life has a way of working out though. God knew what he had instilled in my heart, and I quickly was drawn to helping families for many years. I became a green Birth Educator through the International Maternity Institute in 2011 and opened my business, Blissful Baby, to support families during pregnancy. I later became a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician. In 2014 I completed my Certification at CAPPA for Childbirth Educators which led me to becoming a DOULA. I have thoroughly enjoyed serving families and will continue to be here to support them , as long as the lord permits.
